Hunger: The Bus Stops Here
As teachers, administrators, and staff, we know first-hand the impact that hunger has on children in schools. In classrooms across an eight-county service area, nearly 1 in 4 children will face hunger this year. The Louisville Community Cupboard works to meet the needs and provide hope to families struggling with hunger by distributing food on a monthly basis. We are asking our students to participate in our challenge -- Hunger: The Bus Stops Here!
Registration for 2017-2018 School Year
Preschool and kindergarten registration will continue at North Nim or LES during regular school hours.
Kindergarten Readiness Screening Signup https://www.myconferencetime.com/les/
North Nimishillen offers preschool for 3, 4, and 5 year olds (who are not of age to meet kindergarten entrance requirements). Morning and afternoon sessions are available. Classes are five days a week. If you have friends or family with a child who is of preschool age next year please share this with them. Please call the school office at 330.875.2661 today to come in and register!
Free and Reduced Lunch Applications
Free and reduced lunch applications can be requested and submitted at any time throughout the school year - not just at the beginning of the school year. Family situations may change throughout the year, and if your situation has changed and you could benefit from a free or reduced lunch financially please contact the office for an application to be sent home.
Please sign in as a visitor and return to the office after lunch to sign out. Parents may not stay for recess.
No selfies or picture taking please.
If you and your child would like a friend from the same grade level to sit with you, please feel free to have them join you. Please limit it to just one extra student.
No outside fast-food please.

Box Tops and Campbell Soup Labels
Please save your Box Tops and Campbell Soup Labels! When you send them in be sure to trim them as indicated on the side and place them in a baggie with your child’s name and homeroom teacher or affix them to the leopard box top paper. If you have any questions please contact a member of the PTO.
Pop Tab Collections
The Nimishillen Grange is continuing to collect pop tabs for the Ohio State Grange Deaf and Hard of Hearing Committee. The money collected from recycling the tabs goes to several deaf schools in Ohio. Each class is challenged to collect the most tabs. The class with the most pop tabs will win a pizza party sponsored by the Grange. Total sheets are on display at both elementary buildings.
