Louisville City Schools provide Inter-District Open Enrollment for students residing within the school district and for students from other school districts according to Board Policy 5113 and 5113.01.
Each year, the Louisville Board of Education carefully reviews and examines the Open Enrollment of students from other districts. The Board sets limits on Open Enrollment to ensure the district does not exceed acceptable classroom ratios for students and teachers.
There is no guarantee for Open Enrollment seats. In some cases, grade levels and buildings may be closed to new students through open enrollment due to limits on class size.
Pre-School does not accept Open Enrollment.
INTRA-DISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT
Intra-district open enrollment will not be available to NEW applicants because our elementary classrooms are at capacity. If the capacity to accept new students changes, the information will be made available on our website. (Intra-district open enrollment is a request for students to transfer to another school within their resident school district.)
Inter-District Open Enrollment allows students from other Ohio school districts to be educated in Louisville City Schools. The deadline for requests is April 30, 2021.
