Family Support Specialists Provide Social-Emotional Assistance
Louisville Schools have partnered with the United Way of Stark County to provide a Family Support Specialist (FSS) to work alongside an iCARE team at each school. The iCARE team collaborates to address challenges facing students and their families and helps them overcome barriers to learning by connecting family, school, and community. iCARE teams provide clothing, community agency referrals, food, health and hygiene products, holiday assistance, mentoring of parents and students, shelter, and many other social and emotional supports.
