Good afternoon Lousiville Families; this is superintendent Michele Shaffer.
We appreciate your support over the last two weeks as we implemented mandatory masks in our buildings. As we move forward, masks will be strongly recommended but no longer required in our school buildings. However, due to federal public transportation requirements, masks are still required on school transportation, including school buses.
Just a reminder that students and staff who are identified as a close contact to a positive COVID case will still be required to mask for a designated period of time following exposure. We continue to ask that you keep your child home from school and activities when they are sick, experiencing symptoms, or awaiting test results for COVID-19.
We know the changes this year have been ongoing and, at times, very frustrating. However, our students have enjoyed a mostly normal school year, and we are thankful for every opportunity our students are experiencing.
A reminder that school is not in session Monday, January 17, in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
Thank you for your support and flexibility as we navigate these challenges together. Enjoy the long weekend and Go Leopards!
