Dear Louisville Families:
You may have already read or heard that yesterday the Ohio Department of Health announced changes to its school quarantine guidelines effective immediately.
The new post-exposure guidance for unmasked and unvaccinated students and staff differs in a few ways: K-12 students and staff members can remain in class after in-school exposure to the COVID-19 virus if they wear a mask for 14 days. Students and staff may discontinue these quarantine procedures beginning on day eight if they do not develop symptoms and test negative between days 5-7.
Therefore, beginning on Wednesday, October 27, masks will be recommended but no longer required in our school buildings. Masks are still required on school transportation, including school buses, due to federal public transportation requirements.

We continue to ask that you keep your child home from school and activities when they are sick, experiencing symptoms, or awaiting test results for COVID-19.
We know the changes this year have been ongoing and, at times, very frustrating. However, our students have enjoyed a mostly normal school year, and we are thankful for every opportunity our students are experiencing.
Thank you for your support and flexibility as we navigate these challenges together.
