District Treasurer's Office
The treasurer's office is responsible for the financial management of the district, including payroll, accounts receivable/payable, and accounting.
The treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the District, responsible to the Board for maintaining all financial records, issuing warrants in payment of liabilities incurred by the District, acting as custodian of all District funds, preparing the District's 5-year forecast, and investing idle funds as permitted by Ohio law.
Derek Nottingham was named treasurer of the Louisville City School District in August of 2015. He previously served as the treasurer at Marlington Local Schools, a position he held since 2012. Before joining Marlington, Derek served four years as the treasurer for the Brown Local School District in Malvern. Nottingham was the assistant project manager for the State Auditor’s Office for seven years prior to becoming a school treasurer.
Nottingham earned his bachelor’s of arts degree in accounting and business administration from Malone University (College) and completed courses in school finance, economics and school law at The University of Akron. He is a licensed school treasurer through the state of Ohio.
