“Stuff the Barrel” Food Drive Continues Monday - Thursday

Louisville City Schools in partnership with the City, Township, local businesses and ministerial group will continue the “Stuff the Barrel” non-perishable food drive through May 28, 2020. Collection days will change to Monday-Thursdays from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm at Louisville Elementary School. The barrels are available for donations at door #2.  The District has distributed nearly all of the collected items and donations have drastically reduced in the last few weeks. 

Suggested items include but not limited to: cans of soups, stews, chili, tuna an chicken, fruit and pudding cups, instant potatoes, ramen noodles, pasta and pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, skillet dinners, peanut butter and jelly, biscuits, baking and pancake mixes that only require water, syrup, pop tarts, boxed cereal, crackers and microwave popcorn. 

Community members can continue to drop off and utilize the Louisville Community Cupboard at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church, 930 S. Nickelplate on the first and third Thursday of the month from 3 – 5 pm (doors open at 2 pm.) Donations can also be dropped off at Edwards Jones Investments, 1293 California Avenue Suite B Monday thru Friday: 8:30 am – 5 pm and Consumers National Bank of Louisville, 1111 North Chapel Street, Monday thru Friday: 9 am – 5 pm and Saturday: 9am - 1pm.
